Fall and Winter months mean drier air in the house. My nose, throat and skin definitely feel it and I have been looking for a humidifier to add to my room to help with the dryness. I usually wake up coughing and have really dry & tender nasal passages. I had the Decora Room Humdifier from Solutions pinned awhile back, but found the Aqua Stone Humidifier at my neighborhood Grocery Outlet for only $8.99. Coo...deals!
I really thought it was going to be a solid stone. Ha! The dome is actually a hollow piece of porous pottery.
Directions are easy enough and this is so much easier to clean than a plug in humidifier. I am scared of breaking this though.
I placed the Aqua Stone next to my bed since I have most respiratory issues while sleeping. Also, I turned it around so the 'Aqua Stone' wasn't noticeable. It blends in with my other knickknacks on my bedside table - blown glass orb I made, Seahawks LE Glassybaby & rose quartz etc. Trying to not have too much kalat! I have noticed that I haven't woken up to cough and my nasal passages are less dry in the morning. We have had the heat on consistently these last few weeks since the temperature has dropped and the house is cold.
Cost: $8.99 @ Grocery Outlet if you can find it. Otherwise check other stores that sell As Seen On TV items.
Pros:
-No electricity
-Low maintenance
-Affordable
Cons:
-Breakable (crosses fingers I don't drop it)
Would I recommend this to a friend? Yes! An affordable option to an electric humidifier that doesn't have an additional cost to run. I also liked the write up on Does It Really Work? and will be checking out this blog for more items that I have had interest in purchasing.
