Oopsy! Ipsy February Glam Bag - Emite Make Up Professional Eye Lash Curler

Thankfully I didn't have any issues with mine.  I actually really like it compared to my Kevyn Aucoin curler.

Hello,

We’re reaching out because you received the Emite Make Up Professional Eye Lash Curler in your February Glam Bag.

Some curlers appear to be damaged and the clamp may be broken or misaligned. Most subscribers have not experienced this issue but we wanted to reach out to all ipsters who received this item so you’re aware and can exercise care when using the curler. Please check that your curler aligns properly prior to use. If the red rubber strip is missing, or if the red rubber strip is misaligned causing the two metal clamps to touch each other, the curler could potentially hurt your lashes and you should not use it. We’re sharing photos below so you can identify whether your curler is correctly aligned vs. misaligned. And remember to apply mascara after curling your lashes to avoid unnecessary tugging of those delicate hairs!
If you believe your curler is damaged or if you have any questions or concerns about your curler, please contact ipsyCare. We’re always happy to take care of you!

Unboxing: February 2015 Ipsy Glam Bag - #ipsyLOVE

I celebrated Valentine's Day this year celebrating a friend's 40th birthday!  Of course, the theme was V-day, but also something more, All You Need Is Love And Justice.  Catchy and meaningful for the work that she does with the community.

This month's Glam Bag was sweet in all aspects.  From the cute magenta and graphic designed bag to the products included.
What I got:
-Mitchell and Peach Fine Radiance Face Oil
-Eva NYC Up All Night Volumizing Spray
-Emite Make Up Professional Eye Lash Curler
-ModelCo Blush Cheek Powder in Cosmopolitan
-City Color Creamy Lipstain in Flirtini

I love everything I got!  I can't really pinpoint a single one that I absolutely love, but I was able to try out each item and was happy with all.  I plan on switching out my make up bag in my purse for this one right now!  Did you enjoy your Ipsy Glam Bag this month?

Unboxing: January 2015 Ipsy Glam Bag - Fresh Start

Fresh Start was the theme for January 2015's Glam Bag!  Clean slate and the IpsyStylists are ready for a new year.

First off, the bag.  I love the texture, but not a fan of the blue & orange combo.  Reminds me too much of the Broncos.  LOL but that's aight because the Hawks spanked them.  ;)  I am a fan of the pouch type bags because these can fit easily in my purses.

What I got:

-Malin+Goetz Mojito Lip Balm: Has a sticky gloss kind of feel to it.  Reading the ingredients, there are lots of unnatural ingredients.  I don't have all the bad ones memorized, but right off, no parabens.  Will have to test this out to see how well it works.  The mojito scent is light then fades.

-Pacifica Natural Mineral Coconut Eye Shadow in Treasure

-Elizabeth Mott All Over Shadow Brush: Soooooo soft!  Like puppy fur soft!  The bristles are 100% synthetic, my favorite kind!

-Bella Pierre Cosmetics Shimmer Powder in Exite

-Velvet 59 Velvet Rose Lip Gloss in Noisette

Unboxing: December Ipsy Glam Bag - Thinking of You

Last Ipsy Glam Bag for 2014!  Thinking of You is the theme for this month and Ipsy thinks I'm a 'Creative Genius.'  ;)  I have received 5 Glam Bags for 2014 and have had a good experience so far.  Even with the damaged bag, Ipsy Care sent me a replacement bag with no hassle.  I'm looking forward to continuing being an Ipster and getting my monthly treats as well as heading down to LA in May 2015 for Generation Beauty!

What I got:
Bumble and bumble - Repair Blow Dry
Cailyn Cosmetics - Just Mineral Eye Polish in Orchid
NYX Cosmetics - Butter Lip Balm in Parfait
Tarte Cosmetics - Lights, Camera, Lashes Mascara
Nourish Organic - Renewing Eye Cream

I'm looking forward to trying all the products!  I already use Tarte mascara and have tons of deluxe samples already, but its good to have extras!  Anybody want one?  :)  The bag this month was super cute too, a satin pouch with a heart key chain.  What did you get in your Glam Bag this month?

Unboxing: November Ipsy Glam Bag - Girl Meets Glitter

Glitter!  I looooove glitter!  Not so much the in your face, packed glitter like I used to rock as a candy kid, but more just a little bit of sparkle.  A hint of shimmer.

I've come to terms that I won't wait to know what's in my Glam Bag anymore.  Its RIGHT THERE when I log in, sooooo, I'll just look.  I was excited for this month's!

What I got:
Glamglow Powermud Dualcleanse Treatment
I was mostly excited to finally get a Glamglow product!  I wanted to try this out before committing to an expensive full size.

J. Cat Beauty Wonder Lip Paint in Mad Spatter
The second item I was excited to try and compare to other products like this.  Haven't swatched this yet, but this is a pretty wine shade.  Sad to see that this product does contain parabens.  :(

Be A Bombshell Eye Base in Submissive
Looks like a great crease color!  I would like to see what the lasting power compared to similar products.  This is my first Be A Bombshell product to test.
I was a little disappointed to see parabens though :(

Star Looks Gem Pencil in Ultra Orchid
Oooo!  Shimmery eyeliner in a deep purple.  This would look great on the lower lashline for a pop of color.  Sadly, this product also contains parabens.  :(

be Delectable coconut & cream hand cream
A big size!  But I'm not a fan of the scent.  Its a bit summery for me smelling like pina colada and might just pass this on to someone.  I would have liked something more fall/winter scented like pumpkin or apple, but out of the 3 scents offered, maybe the lemon?

I am sad about my bag though!  :(  It was defective with one seam not sewn.  I did email Ipsy Care and received a quick response noting that they will be sending another bag, but it might not be the same one for this month depending on stock.  I do appreciate them sending a replacement, but sad that this one is busted.  I might have to do creative repair.

Overall:  This month was ok.  The bag was busted, I haven't swatched any of the make up and the only item that I did try so far was the hand cream which was too strong.  3 of the products contained parabens which was disappointing since I am always on the hunt for products that don't contain parabens, pthalates and sulfates.  I still love Ipsy and look forward to my treats every month and hope that December's Glam Bag will be fab for the holiday!

Unboxing: October Ipsy Glam Bag - Beauty Candy

Okay, ok.  I will admit again that I did look at my early access Glam Room peek.  Let's just settle it now, that going forward I will be peeking!  Ha!

What I got:
  • Nicole by OPI Nail Polish in On A Gilt Trip - FULL SIZE!
  • Noyah All Natural Lipstick in Deeply in Mauve
  • Epice Purifying Exfoliant
  • Ayres Body Butter in Patagonia
  • ModelCo VolumEyes Mascara

Products I loved/looking forward to: Epice exfoliant - I've been big on skincare lately.  Ayres body lotion - smells nice and is a good size to pop in my purse.

Products that were ok: Nicole by OPI Nail Polish - I have a color like this already.

Products I haven't tried yet: ModelCo VolumEyes Mascara since I just opened up one.  I'll have to save a review for when I do get a chance to try this.

Overall: 1 full size, 2 deluxe sample size and 2 sample size.  The full sized item was the Nicole nail polish, the deluxe sized were the Epice exfoliant and ModelCo mascara and the Noyah lipstick and Ayres lotion looked like regular sample sized items.  This month was not too bad and I really like fun teal pouch!

Unboxing: September Ipsy Glam Bag - Street Style

I'll admit it, I peeked in my Glam Room to see what I got. Ha! I couldn't help it, when I logged on it was right there!  This month is dedicated to Street Style and from the looks of the Ipsy Stylists, they're rocking a lot of black and plaid.

I love this style of bag. Flat with a top zipper. I am still using the pink bag from July in my daily purse. I haven't used the cylindrical bag from August yet.  I thought it would fit my full sized brushes and be used for travel, but they don't fit.  Its kind of an awkward design to be carrying around in my purse.

What I got:

  • Crown Brush Infinity Shadow/Crease Duet Brush
  • NYX Hot Singles Eye Shadow in Rehab
  • Pacifica Natural Water-Proof Eye Pencil in Fringe
  • Briogeo Don't Despair Repair Deep Conditioning Mask
  • Cailyn Air Touch Tinted Lip Gloss in 09 Basic Instinct

Top-Bottom: Pacifica Liner, NYX Eyeshadow, Cailyn Lip Gloss

I swatched the shadow again on my middle finger, that is straight from the pan.

Products I loved: Cailyn Lip Gloss was like a soft, creamy lipstick that went on smooth.  The Crown Brush is great with the dual end.  Although I'm not a fan of storing dual ended brushes upright.  Which side do you choose to store downwards?  Ick.

Products that were ok: Pacifica Eyeliner - the color is a nice deep brown, but wasn't something that wowed me.

Products I didn't like: NYX shadow - it just wasn't as pigmented as I thought it was going to be.  I am going to try and layer over a shadow stick to make the color pop.

Haven't tried yet: Briogeo Deep Conditioning Mask.  I will soon!  After I get my hair done.

Overall:  3 full size items and 2 deluxe sample items.  Not bad!  I really do love the bag this month and will be switching out one of my bags in my purse for this one!

Looking at what else was offered this month, I would have liked the Alterna CC Cream or the LeeAnni 3-in-1 Revolution Light.

Unboxing: August Ipsy Glam Bag - Beauty Schooled

I didn't peak in my Glam Room again and wanted to be surprised when I got my Glam Bag. Friday afternoon beauty mail is the best!  My mailer pouch looked a bit opened when it arrived, but everything was in tact. *phew!*

This month's theme is "Beauty Schooled," and I have seen some tips on IG that I may try. I love the bright pouch! I would actually use this to hold brushes for travel instead of as a pencil pouch.

What I got:
•Urban Decay 24/7 Velvet Glide-On Eye Pencil in Plushie
•Klorane Extra Gentle Dry Shampoo with Oat Milk
•Coastal Scents Eyeshadow Sample Ser 1 (Cloud White, Paris Green, Reef Blue, Thunderous)
•Jersey Shore Sun Mongongo Nutrient Dense Anti-Aging Lip Conditioner in Mandarin Green Orange Ginger
•Manna Kadar Sheer Glo Shimmer Lotion

Products I loved: the eye pencil & dry shampoo.

Products that were ok: the eye shadow (such a tiny sample) but the colors are beautiful, the shimmer lotion (would use this as a highlight on special occasions). I saw a tip on IG to add the shimmer to your regular body lotion for a bit of shine.

Products I didn't like: the lip balm (the scent was icky). :( I was hoping it would be yummy, but there was a weird smell.

Overall, still pleased with this month's Glam Bag and glad to be an Ipster!  Are you a Glam Bag subscriber? What did you get this month?
