Maybelline Baby Skin Instant Pore Eraser

I have heard great things about Maybelline's Baby Skin Instant Pore Eraser as a primer and wanted to pick up and test it for myself.  I have had this for about a month now and used it a few times, but its nothing special and in fact, it doesn't pair well with my skin.  I have normal/sensitive skin with t-zone that does gets shiny mid-day.  Remember when bloggers were using Monistat Chafing Gel as a dupe for Smashbox's Photo Finish Primer?  This is very similar in the type of clear, gel texture.

I did not like this as a primer.  I felt so greazzy!  Maybe I used too much product, a dab on the forehead, nose, cheeks and chin.  Maybe I'll try applying with a sponge instead and a smaller amount, to see if that makes a difference.  If this doesn't work as a primer, I could use this as a chafing gel instead!

Think Dirty Rating:

Cost: $5.99 at Target

Pros:
-Affordable
-Soft feel

Cons:
-Did nothing to help make up wear
-Left me feeling greasy and looking oily

Would I recommend this to a friend?  Nope.  I'll give it a few more tries, maybe using less product to see if that makes a difference.

Womp, womp! Product Fail: Maybelline Define-A-Brow Eyebrow Pencil

Hate it when I don't do thorough research on a product, end up liking it, but then disliking it.

Bought this:
Heard good things about it and definitely cheaper than the Anastasia Brow Wiz I have been eyeing.

Filled in this:
Albeit it isn't the right tone for me, but it applied beautifully!

Then looked at the ingredients:
PARABENS! :( *sigh* Back to the store this goes and I'll probably get the Anastasia instead since it does not contain parabens, sulfates or pthalates.

Baby Lips - not so much

I was really hoping to love this product and have read so many great reviews, but this just didn't do it for me.  :(  I'm always on the lookout for new, good balms for my lips, but was sadly disappointed that this didn't work out.  This felt greasy on my lips and I felt like I had to keep reapplying it in order for my lips to feel moisturized.  Also, it felt like my lips were peeling, like it wasn't moisturizing enough and often left a gritty feeling across my lips.  Instead of keeping this as my go-to product in my purse, its in my just in case stash at work.

From the website:

Why You'll Love It

No more basic lip balm:
• Visibly renewed lips and 8-hr hydration
• The secret: Exclusive lip renew formula with SPF 20
• Protects and moisturizes lips for a full 8 hours
• After 4 weeks, lips are visibly renewed and reborn
• 6 varieties

For Best Results

Apply your lipcolor by starting in the center of your upper lip. Work from the center to the outer edges of your lip, following the contours of your mouth. Then glide across the entire bottom lip.

Pros:
-Affordable - $2.50 at Wal-mart
-Cute packaging - love the colors!
-Great scent

Cons:
-Didn't work for me :(
-Packaging is cheap - I can forsee the cap cracking. Would be nice to just have this in the usual lip balm package

Would I recommend to a friend
No based off it not working for me.
