Dark Little Edition To The Tatcha Family

Vicky, Nadia and Brad at Tatcha were kind to send me the newest edition to the family, Evening Aburatorigami.  Now in a clutch friendly size, you can bring Tatcha with you in your going out handbag, wallet or your pocket.

From the Tatacha website:
Tatcha’s new Evening AburatorigamI is black to reflect the chic sophistication of New York City and perfectly sized to slip into the sleekest of clutches, for night perfect skin.

Beautifully packaged!

Although Evening Aburatorigami is smaller, this little sheet can still refresh your entire face, leaving it shine-free without distubring your make up.

Comparision of original Tatcha with Evening

I appreciate how they listened and delivered.  Feedback from make up artists noting that sometimes the sheets can be too large to tote around, they created Evening Aburatorigami.  The Evening Tatcha has charcoal infused in the fibers which increase the absorbency.  These were debuted during NY Fashion Week and were a popular request at the Emmy's.  They are now available for everyone on Tatcha.com or if you're lucky, you can find retail stores that sell Tatcha - listed on the site!

I love the Evening Aburatorigami!  I had them in my vintage silver clutch over the weekend at a wedding and offered to my friends while we were at the reception before hitting up the photo booth.  Have to have a shine-free face!  :)  Thank you again to the Tatcha team for thinking of leileiluvsmakeup!

TATCHA ABURATORIGAMI

Discover Tatcha Aburatorigami. Japanese Blotting Paper for Dry or Oily Skin

TATCHA came beautifully packaged and Nadia added a personal note. :)

One of my beautiful gal pals from college recently gave me the opportunity to experience TATCHA! Thank you Nadia! :)

About TATCHA Aburatorigami:
Abura-tori-gami means “oil blotting paper” in Japanese, but refers specifically to handmade abaca leaf papers used by gold leaf artisans.

TATCHA aburatorigami is the gold standard in this class of blotting papers and available for the first time to women in the US.

Discover a beauty secret that is as brilliant as it is simple

Product History:
This 300 year old beauty secret of the geisha comes from the heart of Imperial Japan.

For centuries, gold craftsmen in Japan have used special handmade papers to protect the precious metal they hammered into whisper-thin leafing to enrobe the majestic pavilions of Imperial Japan.

Their gold-leaf artistry transformed the supporting paper into aburatorigami, an incredibly soft, strong and absorbent leaflet ideal for removing excess oils from delicate skin.

Just how our geisha discovered that this precious by product of the artisan’s alchemy could help create a perfect canvas for her makeup and keep her skin petal fresh throughout the night remains a mystery, but the benefits of her ancient beauty secret remain unsurpassed to this day.

Right away, I knew these were going to be different from regular blotting sheets. Based on what I had read about TATCHA and the product history. The quality of the product stands out from the packet to the actual blotting sheet. These are about the size of my palm and you can use both sides to effectively remove shine without smudging or smearing your make up. I like to use blotting sheets rather than blotting powder because I hate adding more product to my already made up face. Especially if the weather is hot and or humid! That is grounds for a breakout. This is much easier to carry around in my purse or clutch when I head out & the package doesn't open up if it gets jumbled in my large bag. Some of you know how BIG of a bag I like to carry around!

I wanted to try TATCHA while I was out & about with make up on to see how well the blotting sheets would work. With that said -

Here is a photo of me after running some errands on a warm, Fall afternoon in the 206.
I have sensitive, combination skin and usually have excess shine in the T-zone area of my face. I used one sheet of TATCHA all over my face.

Here is the sheet after blotting my face. Look how TATCHA pulls the shine off my face and onto the sheet! You can see some areas that were untouched and how transparent the sheet becomes after it absorbs.

And this is my face after using TATCHA! Refreshed and less shine! This picture, as well as ALL the photos on my site are never retouched. I never use Photoshop - you will always get HONEST photos that back up my opinions on products and this definitely proves that I am behind this product! :)
