One of my beautiful gal pals from college recently gave me the opportunity to experience TATCHA! Thank you Nadia! :)
About TATCHA Aburatorigami:
Abura-tori-gami means “oil blotting paper” in Japanese, but refers specifically to handmade abaca leaf papers used by gold leaf artisans.
TATCHA aburatorigami is the gold standard in this class of blotting papers and available for the first time to women in the US.
Discover a beauty secret that is as brilliant as it is simple
Product History:
This 300 year old beauty secret of the geisha comes from the heart of Imperial Japan.
For centuries, gold craftsmen in Japan have used special handmade papers to protect the precious metal they hammered into whisper-thin leafing to enrobe the majestic pavilions of Imperial Japan.
Their gold-leaf artistry transformed the supporting paper into aburatorigami, an incredibly soft, strong and absorbent leaflet ideal for removing excess oils from delicate skin.
Just how our geisha discovered that this precious by product of the artisan’s alchemy could help create a perfect canvas for her makeup and keep her skin petal fresh throughout the night remains a mystery, but the benefits of her ancient beauty secret remain unsurpassed to this day.

I wanted to try TATCHA while I was out & about with make up on to see how well the blotting sheets would work. With that said -
Here is a photo of me after running some errands on a warm, Fall afternoon in the 206.
I have sensitive, combination skin and usually have excess shine in the T-zone area of my face. I used one sheet of TATCHA all over my face.
Here is the sheet after blotting my face. Look how TATCHA pulls the shine off my face and onto the sheet! You can see some areas that were untouched and how transparent the sheet becomes after it absorbs.
And this is my face after using TATCHA! Refreshed and less shine! This picture, as well as ALL the photos on my site are never retouched. I never use Photoshop - you will always get HONEST photos that back up my opinions on products and this definitely proves that I am behind this product! :)
