Finally a brow pencil that I consider HG. I was sad to see the Maybelline's Define-A-Brow have parabens and was hoping it would be a more affordable option. I'll stick with what I have researched and picked up Anastasia's Brow Wiz in Brunette/Dark Brown from Nordstrom.
What the website says:
I really like Sephora's take on how they break down a product and here is what they have for Brow Wiz:
What it is:
An ultraslim mechanical pencil to shape, define, and fill in your brows for a natural, polished look.
What it does:
Sometimes brows need a little magic. This must-have pencil features an ultrafine, retractable tip to fill in gaps easily and mimic brow hair. Perfect for spot checking areas that may be sparse or over-tweezed, the smear-proof formula wears all day for a natural, fresh look.
What it is formulated WITHOUT:
- Parabens
- Sulfates
- Phthalates
Think Dirty rating:
How they're done!
Start by drawing a line below the brow |
Then doing the same up top |
Fill in until you have the right coloring and shading |
Use the spoolie end to brush the hairs upward and lighten any areas that are too dark |
Both brows done. Hmmm, the right always turns out better. LOL! Also, brows should be sisters, not twins. ;) |
Cost: $21
Pros:
-Fine pencil applies naturally
-No parabens, sulfates or pthalates
-Variety of colors
Cons:
-Pricey
Would I recommend this to a friend? YES! Much safer without parabens, sulfates or pthalates. There is a variety of colors to match your hair and applies well. You can make this product last longer if you define and shape lightly, then follow up with a brow powder or eye shadow to fill in. I'll still be on the lookout for a more affordable, safe eyebrow pencil, but for now, this is HG for me and I already have a back up!
