The ultimate traincase!

Image from www.yazmo.com
Pro Rolling Pink Makeup Case TS-46 $170

I actually received this traincase as a present for Christmas from someone *cough*theex*cough* I had been eyeing this prior to me getting it. Sneaky bastard was inquiring about what I was looking at one day while I was online. Funny thing is, when he brought out this big box, I was thinking it the pink Dyson I have been wanting FOREVER. Haha! I was wrong, but oh well, still an awesome prezzie!

This is my case packed for a gig I did for 7 salon. It was hard not to put EVERYTHING that I have in here. This was already at least 20 lbs once I had it put together. I was the ONLY MUA with a rolling traincase. Even the MAC pro liked it. :) Hopefully I can get myself motivated enough to pursue more freelance gigs and work on more dramatic looks.

For now, this holds some of my collection. I want to keep it rather empty and fill it according to the work that I will be doing. It was a mess taking everything out and filling it back up! If you ladies are looking for high quality traincases, www.yazmo.com is a great site to start out at! I actually have a Sephora case that is similar to the Pro Black Aluminum Makeup Case TS-90 listed on the site that I love and use to house the products I use on more of a daily basis. It keeps everything tidy, organized and stored in a cool, dark place. :)

Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion in Sin

I can say I can give this a thorough review since I have been using this for the 4 months now! Urban Decay has introduced their best selling eyeshadow primer in a champagne color, perfect for summer or when you play up your eyes with bright and shimmery colors! From the Sephora.com website:

What it is:
A best-selling eyeshadow primer potion in a shimmering champagne color.

What it does:
Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion - Sin combines incredible staying power with a shimmering champagne hue that complements almost any eyeshadow. This two-in-one beauty miracle can be worn alone to give eyes just a hint of tint for when you're in a hurry or in need of that "no makeup" look.

What else you need to know:
It also makes a great highlighter: apply from lash line to crease and then apply your shadow on the lid only.

I actually take this and put it along my lower lashline to help keep my liner in place which does help! I am disappointed in the packaging this comes in. Once again, that signature genie shaped bottle makes it's way to the shelf, but it is more of a nuisance than anything! Please UD, can you repackage this to be in a squeeze tube with a doe foot applicator? Pretty, pretty please? I'll be cutting this bottle up once I can't scrape any more product out and putting this in a small glass jar.

As I've stated before, I've been using this for about 4 months now and LOVE IT! Sometimes I just put this on by itself along with some mascara and that's it. A nice, sheer wash of color on my lids for those hot days when less make up is a must. Retailing for $17, I would definitely repurchase this again as it has become a fave!

Here are swatches of the UDPP Sin by itself along with shadow on top. This does make shadows appear brighter and more shimmery. I love, love, love shimmery shadows so this is right up my alley.

For my Tiffy - Ardell Babies & Luvies

Especially for you my Tiffy! She needed suggestions for cheap lashes to wear everyday that felt and looked natural. I suggested Ardell Babies and Luvies, 2 of my favorites from the Invisiband line. Both are a demi lash and fit well for those who have smaller eyes. I tend to cut my strip bands to fit, but these need no trimming at all. These are about $4 @ Sally Beauty, but you can also purchase these online. I haven't ordered from this site Madame Madeline but I have seen other beauty blogger babes order from this site with fantastic reviews.

The Babies have a varying short & long length that add that extra pop without going over the top.

The Luvies have a fan shape that add length and volume.

These are both great for everyday use since they are light and not too dramatic and I highly recommend the Invisiband line! Use Duo's Surgical Adhesive to apply your lashes...always! Its the best! :)

Nivea Touch Of Happiness Moisturizing Body Wash

Funny story about when I bought this. My gf and I had thought it was LOTION. She unfortunately found out the hard way when she put this on while driving! She had to wait until she got to her destination to wash it off. LoL! She text me that the "lotion" we bought was in fact BODY WASH. I took this out of my car with a quickness before I or someone else slathered this on. Note to self: READ the label BEFORE you buy! Well, at least I got to try out a new product!

The website describes this as a, "...silky cream-gel with nourishing bamboo essence gives you incredibly soft skin while cleansing very mildly. Its indulging intense lathering formula is enriched with energizing orange blossom scent to awaken your senses."

This was sitting at the cash wrap at Walgreen's for a whopping $0.99! I grabbed one and sniffed it, mmmmm kinda smells like Tang! This has an orange blossom scent with bamboo essence. Fancy! I know Nivea for their skincare line and know that my sensitive skin can handle their products. The body wash lathers up well and left my skin feeling clean and smooth. No tightness like some other washes and soaps can leave behind. The bottle does say that this foams without a pouf, but I still like using my loofah to exfoliate.

Overall, Nivea has produced a great body wash! One factor that does deter me is the cost. A 16.9 fl oz bottle runs about $5.50. I'm frugal when it comes to drugstore body wash and refuse to pay more than $3.50 for a bottle. I will definitely repurchase this bodywash, if its on sale.

Agent Provocateur Maitresse...a no no!

I wasted a Sephora sample on this parfum awhile back. It is WAY too heavy and is really Nanay smell. As I have aged, I notice that I have steered further away from the youthful, fruity fragrances and lean towards more mature, light florals. Well, this is NOT one of them.

It left a stink in my nose.

If you missed your chance at ordering My Pretty Pink Box...‏

Follow this link NOW! SOLD OUT! Just ordered one for me and Ms. B!

Visit www.myprettypinkbox.com on September 2nd!

Thailand Product Review: Fresh & Dry Oil Hello Kitty Clear Film & Lip Balm and Le Sasha Seaweed Hair Vitamin Serum Capsule & a LOSS

Remember this package?

I'm finally getting around to digging into the products! Geeze...hella late & I totally apologize Ms. B! First off, I want to call a loss that I only realized was missing now.

These lighted tweezers were STOLEN during my Cabo trip. Long story short, lock your stuff up when partying. These tweezers were AWESOME because they had a small LED light so you could see every teeny hair that needed to be plucked! How I missed this being gone for about 2 months now is beyond me. Sad, sad, loss! To that gal that jacked my stuff, bad juju to those who have sticky fingers!

Moving on...

Fresh & Dry Oil Clear Film & Lipbalm
Ms. B knows how I absolutely adore Hello Kitty and indulges me in that addiction with HK products! She has already sent me a pack of HK blotting film, which I still haven't opened, its too darn cute! I may just give in and pack these along in my clutch when I go out and put in a request for me from her. Hee hee!

See the cute Hello Kitty detail on the film? :)

These are similar to oil blotting film we have here in the States. Effective in clearing up that shine without adding any product on your face. I'm not fond of blot powders, especially if you're out at a bar where it can get hot and humid.

Fresh & Dry Lipbalm with Tomato Extracts

What was included in this set was a cute lipbalm! On the label it states that it contains tomato extracts. For the antioxidant properties? Hmmm? Well, nonetheless, it is a cute lippy with a faint apple scent. This will be my new before bedtime lippy that will stay posted on my nightstand!

Le Sasha Seaweed Hair Vitamin Serum Capsules

First off, I should have asked Ms. B if this was an after or before shampoo treatment because the words on the package are in Thai and my Google search didn't produce anything about the company. Ah well! Most hair serums are products you use AFTER you shampoo so I'm hoping my guess is right. Inside these cute little capsules is a clear product similar to my favorite Biosilk. These little babies have enough for longer hair and I would have actually just applied 1/2 of the contents to my hair. First off, the scent is fresh, but quite strong. The scent reminds me of a unisex cologne, not really totally fem, but slightly masculine. It is interesting and is growing on me. Noticeably my hair has a nice gloss to it without a heavy feel. Seaweed has been a top au naturel ingredient in haircare aiding in hydrating and improving shine. So far I like the results on dry hair and will try using this on damp hair, then blowdrying to compare the difference.

Lipgloss Review: Revlon Beyond Natural Cream Lipgloss in Peach

I'm kind of sad because I think I might have lost this lipgloss during Thursday night's debauchery at Baltic aka Bartek Room. :( *sigh* I hope its rolling around somewhere in the car! On to the review!

From the website, this gloss is described as, "Medium coverage color with a soft shine. Designed to match any complexion for naturally lush lips. Delicious butterscotch scent complements the gloss and sweetens the senses."

Natural Cream Lipgloss comes in 8 shades ranging from nude, rose and brown.

Mmmmm...butterscotch!

Quoting one of my faves from Rick Ross, "Burnin' butter got it smellin' like its butterscotch."

I snagged this @ Walgreens for $7 BOGO of course. One for me & one for Ms. B. I chose Peach for myself and LOVE the color and coverage! It has a nice consistency along with a the butterscotch scent. Like any gloss, you SHOULD have smooth, flake free lips to have the best application. This one will not be cute if your pucker isn't. This gloss isn't too sticky and has a soft shine, a very natural look. Perfect for those low key days.

I probably won't be repurchasing this gloss since I have way too many already, but this was definitely a good purchase & if I still have it, I'll probably keep this in my work make up kit. If you're looking for a more natural take on gloss, then this is one for you to buy. With the color range, there is one that would suit women of all skin colors.

FOTD: Lowe's Hardware & Mascara Review: wet n wild Lash Intense Mascara

I've been trying to get ready and out the door for the past 2 hours now. This is my going to Lowe's Hardware look FOTD. Haha! The pic above is what happens when you have too much sh*t and you try and cram it into one small closet. Organizational FAIL. Weightload observance hella FAIL. This woke me up at 5:30 AM. I thought I knocked my laptop off my bed, but surprise! It was my damn closet collapsed. Here I am on a gloomy Saturday afternoon trying to get it together and out the door to buy provisions to repair this mess. And yes, I will be doing this by myself. With plenty of advice from the help at the store of course. :) What a way to spend my Saturday.

What I used: (not all products listed are shown)
Face:
MAC Studio Fix in NC42
Too Faced Bronzing Powder in Sunny Bunny
MAC Mineralize Blush in Gleeful

Eyes:
Primed with Urban Decay Primer Potion
MAC Take Wing Eyes quad - Restless, Take Wing, Tickles, Bravado
Urban Decay 24/7 Eyeliner in Zero
wet n wild Lash Intense Mascara
Ardell Runway Lashes in Babies
Anastasia Brow Powder in Brunette (the lighter brown)

Lips:
NARS Turkish Delight

As you can see I'm just thrilled at what lies ahead of me for today. I think I'll go have a good meal before I tackle the rebuild.

The only time I can really wear this color. Otherwise it just looks like tamud sitting on my lips.

Mascara Review: wet n wild Lash Intense Mascara

What the website says: Brushes make all the difference with makeup application, especially with mascara! wet n wild's Lash Intense Mascara features a revolutionary dual-purpose applicator: the brush side wraps lashes from root to tip with a maximizing formula for intense drama; while the definer side combs each and every lash for optimum separation with a clump-free finish. The overall effect is perfectly voluptuous and long sculpted lashes!

Features
-Specially-engineered, high precision, volumizing brush and definer
-Sculpts lashes with optimum separation and maximum drama
-Coats even the hardest to reach lashes

I was drawn to the brush of this mascara and was hoping for great results, but have been slightly disappointed. The formula dries out relatively quickly which makes the product difficult to build. I have had this mascara for about 2 months and I'm ready to toss it. For about $3, I guess you get what you paid for, but I haven't been disappointed with other drugstore mascaras like Maybelline. Definitely not a repurchase for me.

2 coats on the top lashes. The gel consistency formula did grab on to my lashes well, but didn't really do much but darken them.

It didn't give me that wow factor after 2 coats and I couldn't really build up the product since it dried quickly and has a tendency to flake. It was worth a try, but I wouldn't buy this again, nor recommend this to you gals. Sorry wet n wild, you just didn't do it for me!

OVERDUE to my BKK Cutie

Just a peek at what's coming your way and what I need to review. ;)

Lemming: Temptu

Image from www.sephora.com

Accckkk! Another no shopping/no new make-up diet is going to kill me. I would love to have Temptu AIRbrush makeup system! For $225 you can have that flawless look of airbrushed make up in one easy step. This would be great for freelance gigs too, but at $55 for the refills, its pricey! Hmmmm....just a lem and not a potential realistic purchase.

Lemming: Mink Lashes!

Image from www.coastalscents.com

After receiving my Coastal Scents Newsletter on Monday, I really want a pair of these lashes! They really do look gorge and fab! Hmmm...$30 for a pair of lashes? I would really have to be choosy about when I wear these. Not just any old night out where I end up falling asleep with them on and they become ruined. Oh woe is me! I recently found 15 pairs of NEW lashes in one of my drawers and I told myself NO NEW LASHES, but these look so fun and I really want a pair! Someone give me a good reason why I should get these please!

Mark Review: Get A Tint, Chic Duet & Make It Go Away

Hello, hello! Once again it has been awhile since I've done updates and I really need to change that! I definitely owe this gal a post that is over a month overdue.

My girl Samilu has recently become a Mark representative and has shared some products that she loves and thought I would too! If you are interested in any of the products listed, please check out her site and let her know mizleilei sent you. Samilu's Mark Boutique

I can't help but mention that Sam also makes jewelry! Please check out her etsy site as well. :) Camarilla Designs

Hello loot! I was happily surprised to receive a package before I left on vacation and couldn't wait to tear into it. I had to!

Sam sent some samples along with the Get A Tint, Chic Duet and Make It Go Away. I haven't tried the samples yet, but I have tried and have been using the products. I have not tried any Mark products until now. I have heard of the brand and know that L.C. is a spokesmodel. Yes, I am a Hills fan. Haha! I checked out her boutique and saw some really fun products that are definitely affordable and fun.

Get A Tint - Tinted Moisturizer Lotion SPF 15 $8
Desribed as, "A lightweight, oil-free moisturizer with just enough color to even out your skin tone and give the appearance of a healthy glow. The unique skin-balancing formula hydrates while it helps prevent shine in those spots prone to excess oil. 1.6 fl. oz."
I was afraid that the Honey color was going to be too dark for me, but after my sun in Cabo, the shade is perfect for my summer skin! While its kind of weird for me NOT to moisturize before putting on make up, I love how I can get light coverage with SPF! I do love my golden brown deliciousness, but I always wear sunscreen! Get A Tint is available in 4 shades and is good for light to medium skin tones.

Pros: Lightweight and natural, SPF 15, did not irritate my skin and has no weird smell.

Cons: Limited amount of shades, this does rub off easily so be mindful when wearing light colors.

Sorry for the blurry pics! This is the actual lip color on its own without the gloss.

This is the color mixed in with the gloss.

Chic Duet Color and Shine Lip Gloss $6
Described as, "Destined to become your main squeeze, this high-shine gloss features innovative tube-in-a-tube packaging, allowing glassy clear gloss and colored gloss to combine. 0.40 fl. oz."

I'm a sucker for lippies and you can always count on me to have more than one stashed in my purse. Chic Duet is a great combo of color and gloss in one. Sparks Fly is a pretty, shimmery berry that applies quite sheer than what it may look like in the tube. The gloss tastes like watermelon...yes I eat my gloss off my lips! If it smells or tastes weird, I won't use it. It took awhile before I could get any of the color out of the tube since the clear gloss was full. The directions say to squeeze in the middle for a mix of gloss and color or squeeze at the top to get mostly color. I found out the opposite works to get color by squeezing from the bottom of the tube. Chic Duet is available in 4 shades - a nude, brown, berry and pink shade.

Pros: Combines both color and gloss in one, tastes great, very natural color

Cons: No SPF (not always found in glosses though)

Make It Go Away - Makeup Removing Wipes $8
Described as, "Whether you’re exhausted after a long night out or sweaty after a workout, these towelettes – saturated with a gentle cleanser – are a great substitute for your regular face wash and can even be used to remove eye makeup. Pack of 30 wipes."

I brought these to Cabo and actually kept them in my bed. Not on the nightstand, but IN the bed. You already know how that goes when the party girl comes stumbling back home. ;) My skin is sensitive and I have to be very careful about the types of wipes I choose and luckily, I did not have a reaction to these! The gentle cleanser was effective enough to get off my UD 24/7 pencil from my lids and we know how difficult that can be to remove! There was no bad smell and these left my skin feeling clean without any tightness. Keep these at your bedside or in your "hoe bag" when you have to wipe away remants of what you looked like last night. Haha!

Pros: Cleans well and leaves no residue, a steal for 8 bux for a pack of 30!

Cons: Thinner than most makeup removing wipes

Overall, I am really impressed with the quality and affordability of Mark products. This is a great brand for women of all ages that not only offers skincare and cosmetics, but clothing, shoes and jewelry! Thank you again to my girl Samilu! Please visit her Mark and Camarilla Designs stores when you get a chance. :)

Sephora Favorites Boxed Kits

Accckk! I am a sucker for great deals and I could not pass up picking up one of the Sephora Favorites Boxed Kits! I'm not going to spill which one I got because I snagged one for Ms. B as well and don't want to ruin the surprise! I was glad to see a variety of kits including fragrance, mascara and lippies! This is a great opportunity to try out something new.

I have been extremely behind due to my laziness. I'm jobless and what can I say? I'm living it up right now, but I need to find my focus. Help! More later as I've come across some great products that I can't wait to share reviews on!
